1. Knit Picks has the best knitting needles. They are so beautiful, AND they feel amazing in your hands! These wooden needles are not too "slippery" that the stitches pop off the top and not too "sticky" that the stitches get stuck. Plus, as you use these needles, your hands start to oil and smooth them even more. 👌
Sunstruck are my favorite straight knitting needles for all of my flat knitting for washcloths, scarves, and ear warmers.
Sunstruck double-point knitting needles are my favorite for small, circular projects like mittens, pumpkins, cactus, and baby mittens.
2. Knit Picks interchangeable circular knitting needles are so worth the investment at the beginning rather than buying different sizes as you need them.
I use these to make all my knit hats and sweaters, then I switch out to the Sunstruck double-point needles after I have decreased to a smaller circumference for the tops of hats and the cuffs of sweaters.
These make great birthday and holiday gifts! 🎁
3. Don't forget a good metal tapestry needle for weaving in ends, especially sewing up hats and sock toes.
