The joy of a new beginning, new possibilities, and fear of failure are very real.
I didn't have anyone to mentor me, no tutorials to follow. A lot of this was one step at a time and filling in the blanks as I signed up for one thing and found more answers behind that door.
My actual list I accomplished before I started listing items in my shop:
APRIL 20, 2010
-
sign up as a seller/merchant on PayPal to receive payment
-
brainstorm little surprises to include with sale items
OCTOBER 25, 2010
-
Just got home from the bank. I now have a separate checking account for all my Etsy deals (sales, supplies, etc).
-
Next To Do: Set up my PayPal seller's account.
-
Right now: Going on a scarf photo shoot with my friend.

I walked to the post office yesterday and got shipping pricing ($3-$5) for the dish clothes & the baby blanket
-
Picked up some coffee on the way
-
Sorted through all the pictures into their own folders & then down to 5 each. Now I just need to post them... and write descriptions...
-
Made 3 banners - 2 for the shop, 1 for the blog but didn't realize I couldn't get rid of the title by Blogger so no new banner for now.
-
Developed a "text" logo with Knitted Home's name :) I love it...
-
Getting my paperwork/organizing in order (pictures, forms for me to use, etc)
-
Figuring out pricing, costs, etc. (not as fun as it sounds, that's for sure)
-
Finished knitting a little scarf for a boy I've been babysitting who just moved here from Brazil (and needs a few things for winter).
-
I finished his matching crochet beanie last week and the knit mittens 2 weeks ago. We traced his hand on paper for me to use as a pattern.
-
I wish the details that I'm waiting on would hurry up.
